Home Automation…what is it? The basic idea is so easy. In fact, its “automatic”! Take the myriad of daily switches and devices that we must operate manually in our home. It seems each day there is something new in our lives that requires us to plug it in and turn it on and then of course turn it back off. As we grow and progress through life it seems that each day is filled with more chores and tasks than the previous one. So the idea of lessening that load by making some of these chores self sufficient has really always been a welcome one. Since the dawn of household appliances their goal has been to “automate” the process of various tasks. Dish washers, washing machines, even toasters ovens, are all really forms of “home automation” if you think about it. These devices simplify the process of various tasks by making the machine do the work or at least part of it. Then they shut off when that process is done…..automatically!
